Have you ever been watching a television show or a movie and being like I know where that is. Well it happens a lot for me. I’ve been living in British Columbia most of my life and I’ve come very close to being able to meet my favorite movie and t.v show actors. Here are a couple a of show and movies you didn’t know were filmed in British Columbia.
Smallville: The story of Kent Clark coming into term with his powers and becoming Superman. The show started in 2001 and ended in 2011 after 10 seasons. If you want to see the Kent family farm its located on 839 248th Street, Aldergrove, BC
Bates Motel: Inspired by the seminal 1960 horror film “Psycho,” explores the formative years of Norman Bates and how his complicated bond with his mother forged a serial killer. The Bates Motel is located at 1070 272nd Street in Aldergrove, BC. Here is my sister Katie and I at the set, security scared us away.
Once upon a Time: Tells the story of a new world, one in which fairy-tale legends and modern life collide. The fictional town called Story Brooke is filmed in a small town called Steveston Village Richmond British Columbia.
When Calls the Heart: Based on the bestselling novel by Janette Oke, When Calls the Heart follows the story of young school teacher Elizabeth Thatcher, who has just arrived in Coal Valley, a 19th century coal mining town in the Western Frontie. This t.v show is filmed in Fort Langley by the white church across the lake. There is currently three season and they’re working on the forth season right now. The show first episode aired in 2014 on the Hallmark Channel and Super Channel.
Supernatural: The hit t.v show about two brothers who hunt supernatural creators. The show first aired back in 2005 and they’re filming the 12 season now, the season is set to air on October 2016. The filming they did is all around the lower main land in British Columbia.
